New Ventures Maine

New Ventures Maine offers tuition-free training throughout Maine. Their programs are State- and donor-funded. Pica entered the picture during a name change after 27 years, signalling a new direction for the organization and a need to improve awareness among a much larger group of people—women, men, with a wider age range.

An important component in the New Ventures Maine branding process was internal education and bringing a few key groups along in what was to come, and why, long before we even began creative work.

After several meetings and presentations to leadership, Board members, and a marketing committee, we set the strategic stage for the months ahead and received 360° input.

Stage One yielded a roadmap (audiences, efforts, tasks) that the participating regions could feel good about.

Then the real fun began: logo and business collateral development; trade show banners and 3-D display, and a rack card for wide distribution.
