A small, start-up non-profit from our own ‘hood came calling with a request: can you help us turn a four-page text document into a decent-looking annual report? And can you do it for basically no money? We could, but we chose to go further: to seize the opportunity of an annual report to help get the word out to the public about an exciting new community venture. Inspired to fold the piece to look like radio antennae, and using an eye-catching palette inspired by the station’s mission to represent diverse voices, we created a playfully interactive piece that serves to both deliver information and roll out a welcome mat to the public. Bold business cards complete the introductory suite—at a low cost and with panache.
